Hiking boots have officially made the leap from the trail to the runway.
Much like the impending ‘Dad Sneaker’ trend, boots have been given a chunkier update as well. Enter: the rubber sole.
Not to be confused with platforms and dramatically different from the tried and trusted block heel, this particular trend is defined by its thick rubber sole, which was hard to miss on the A/W19 runways, with designers like Burberry and Alexander McQueen bringing their own take on the trend.
Not quite sure how to style them? Wear them with a pair of jeans, or dare I say it, a floaty dress, patterned maxi skirt or even a pastel-coloured trouser suit!
