Cure any blues with this mood-boosting banana and chocolate dessert. Bananas help overcome depression due high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin – the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter. And chocolate, well is chocolate. Combine these ingredients and you have a sumptuous dessert that will put you in a happy space.

What You Need

1 tbsp melted butter
1 banana, cut lengthways into 4
8 Woolworths Raw Brazil Nuts, finely chopped
1 tbsp brown sugar
60ml Woolworths Reduced-fat Cream
40g Cadbury’s Bournville Dark Chocolate
4 Green Cardamom pods

1/ Brush a sheet of phyllo with melted butter and water, and lay the second sheet on top. Cut into four squares.
2/ Place a piece of banana in the bottom corner, sprinkle with nuts and a little sugar and roll up, tucking the edges in as you go along.
3/ Repeat with the remaining three squares.
4/ Brush with butter, place on a greased baking tray and bake at 180°C for eight minutes or until the cigars are golden brown.
5/ In the meantime, place the cream and chocolate in a microwave-proof bowl.
6/ Split the cardamom pods, add the seeds to the cream and microwave for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until the chocolate has dissolved.
