Build A Strong Body

Try out Zinhle’s full body workout to help you burn fat and strengthen your muscles. She explains how you can perform these exercises that will help you build a strong body in no time.

Weighted jumping lunge

When performing a jump lunge, you’ll simultaneously work all of the lower-body muscles targeted by a standard lunge, including the quads, glutes, hamstrings, and calves. Adding weight(dumbbells or medicine ball) makes the workout more challenging.

Medicine ball slams

The medicine ball slam is great for developing power, strength, and speed. Muscles targeted when performing this exercise are triceps, abdomen, shoulders, calves, back, glutes, quads,

Jumping squats

Jump squats help tone the calves, glutes, hamstrings, core, and quadriceps. Unlike traditional stagnant squats, Jumping squats will increase your heart rate which in turn makes it a cardiovascular exercise.

Battle Rope

Battle ropes are often thought of as a tool for your upper body, which they are. However, their benefits don’t end there. Battle rope workouts work the muscles in your abs, back, and glutes, and you can incorporate movements, such as lunges, and squats, that work your lower body, too.

Alternating Step Over

This exercise is great for symmetry, balance and cardiovascular. The exercise targets the lower body muscle groups namely quads, hamstrings, calves and glutes.

TRX mountain climbers

TRX mountain climbers are great for improving agility, posture and coordination.
This exercise focuses on your core muscles which consist of your abs, obliques, lower back, glutes and pelvic floor. The exercise also targets the tricep.
