For the first time, Women’s Health, in partnership with Whirlpool, is looking for its Next Fit Foodie: a woman who has the personality, cred and inspirational social media feed that will help women fall in love with healthy food and learn to celebrate their bodies in the process.
We’ve narrowed down the search to 10 women, but we need your help selecting the five finalists. Scroll through to learn more about them, then vote for your fave.
Christine Phillips
Wellness chef and nutritionist Christine also appears on DSTV show Real Health. “I’m always coming up with new, healthy recipes that taste incredible and I have a client base to vouch for that,” she says.
Zorah Booley
Blogger and YouTuber Zorah emphasises the importance of balance in her cooking. “We all have those busy days, where eating clean can become difficult and it does test our discipline, but even so, I believe we are all on our own trajectory to becoming a better version of ourselves [one] day at a time,” she says. Her recipes are allergy friendly – Zorah suffers from IBS – but her recipes are totally customisable, too.
Ashley Krige
Dietetics and culinary student Ashley is using her social media platform to share her knowledge with others, while encouraging fitness. “My dream is to inspire men and women to lead not just a healthy life, but a life that is full of endless possibilities, one that is limitless in its potential and one where you are continually growing and increasing your capacity,” she says.
Litsoanelo Seturumane
Litsoanelo is a chef and bikini fitness competitor whose aim is to show women how to cook healthy food that makes them feel good. “I also believe that knowing how to cook is what will help women move away from fad diets,” she says.
Shazia Gaffar
TV chef and nutrition expert, Shazia is passionate about nutrition education. She’s also a mom and marathon runner and runs shazeats.com. “As people are becoming more and more aware of ‘living their best lives,’ they are [making] healthier decisions in their eating and way of life,” she says.

Jody Calitz
Vegan blogger Jody Calitz gave up meat and quit the gym. “I just want to show people, women especially, how to fall in love with food again because when you do… I promise you, you fall in love with yourself and that is the message I want to share through the food I eat,” she says.
Jo Hill
Jo marries fitness with food. She’s a teacher by trade but is studying personal training and nutrition. She also comes from a background of disordered eating. “I would love nothing more than to educate others about this lifestyle, to prevent people (especially young women) from making the same mistakes that I made, to show everyone how easy following a healthy lifestyle is,” she says.

Daniella Lagerwey
Daniella believes fitness is in her blood. But being Italian, food is a pretty big part of her life, too. “I feel alive in the kitchen, it’s a space I can just be my most creative self,” she says. ” I love creating healthy dishes and guilt-free treats that not only taste delicious but are also fuel for my body. To me, food is a huge part of how we experience life.”
Manini Mofokeng
Instagram foodie Manini believes in keeping healthy through food. “The meals that I prepare don’t only look scrumptious, they are also packed with nutrients and vitamins to nourish the body,” she says.

Sumaiya Essa
Sumaiya is a dietitian who pairs food and fitness with fun. “I see the confusion and apprehension around food choices with all the conflicting information that [people] are bombarded with,” she says. “I think that [Next Fit Foodie] would be a great platform for me to show women how easy and fun healthy food can be using evidence-based nutritional advice.”
