And The Winner Of Our Next Fitness Star Competition Is…

by | Jul 20, 2017 | Fitness

Women’s Health is thrilled to announce the winner of Next Fitness Star as Pretoria-based athlete-turned-personal trainer Inge Viljoen.

Inge’s win was narrowed down first by reader votes and eventually by a panel of judges who applauded her versatility, her energy and her natural approach. Former Olympian, Sanani Mangisa, commented:  “I love Inge’s versatile approach to fitness. The idea that we can take fitness anywhere is appealing and exactly what the fitness industry needs to hear more of. Inge is young and energetic and I love her enthusiasm for trying new things. She’s my Next Fitness Star!”

Expresso’s fitness guru Johry Batt was equally enthusiastic: ““Inge has a true passion and a pure love for movement that shines brightly. Her unique approach just comes naturally – it’s part of who she is.”

And we at Women’s Health couldn’t agree more. “Inge’s incredible zest for life commands the room,” says editor Danielle Weakley. “She just brings such a high voltage of energy and joy to fitness that even when she is performing the most insane of moves – with ridiculous ease, I might add – she makes it look like something you absolutely want to try. And that’s what we were looking for – someone who would inspire everyday girls, like me and the team and our readers, to enjoy fitness and a good exercise routine.”

ABOUT INGE VILJOEN

Pretoria girl Inge has a sporty background, having done heptathlon and rhythmic gymnastics at school, and she incorporates that into the training she does with her clients. She specialises in training women at their homes, using simple equipment like resistance bands and medicine balls, along with household furniture. You’ll be amazed at the workouts she can dream up using just a coffee table! Inge keeps her own body strong and fit with a combination of weight training, animal flow workouts, bodyweight movements, kickboxing and athletic cardio. “I love functional movement,” she says. “It’s not just about being strong, but being able to do stuff with your body.”
