September is Eye Awareness Month, and according to the South African Government, 70% of blindness cases are avoidable either through prevention or treatment. All the more reason to get your eyes tested at least once a year.
We’ve found this season’s trendiest sunnies to match any personality type and occasion. Sunglass Hut’s global marketing director Laura Didoni weighs in:
1/ The traveller
We all know that stylish traveller who has a pair of shades to complement every outfit. “The traveller will be travelling the globe, so frames need to feel trendy yet functional at the same time. Versatility is your friend,” says Lauren.

“When it comes to sunglasses, the city slicker is fashion-forward and likes to take risks. Try an exaggerated cat-eye, unique detail or a patterned lens to make a statement,” says Lauren.

Whether you’re going on a hike or indulging in a picnic in the park, sun protection is essential for the outdoor enthusiast. Opt for a pair that has polarised lenses.
