Canon wants to upgrade you from taking pics with your cellphone, to capturing life’s moments with the Canon Powershot SX740 HS. This is not your average point-and-shoot camera, it’s some proper tech worth R5999. Best you get in there!

All you have to do is snap the shot that best shows what a day in your life looks like. It can literally be anything from your meal-prep to the spectacular views on your run, or a selfie at sunset. Seriously, we don’t mind, as long as it blows our mind!

How to enter

• Take the picture(s) of something you think will perfectly showcase a day in your life. Make sure it’s a winning shot! Feel free to send through more than one photo if you like. (PS. We heard of bonus points going round for pictures that include you in the image too – smile or wave at us!)
• Upload your pics to Insta with the following hashtags #adayinyourlifewithcanon #WHcanon and remember to tag @CanonRSA. More than one shot of the same thing can be uploaded as a multi-shot gallery on Instagram
• The competition closes on 7 September so we advise you to capture and enter fast.

The Canon Star!

Once you receive your new camera, you will be tasked with your first gig as the Canon Star… Canon requires the winner to take between 10-20 photos using the Canon tech, to show what a day in their life looks like. Thereafter, you’ll be the official owner of the Canon Powershot SX740 HS. We will also publish an article to show you off as the Canon Star. Because what is a Star without her fame?

If you’re older than 18, you’re able to get in the running. No life is too bland for this – your food, furry pets, kids, BFFs and views from your balcony, will make the cut. So start snapping and enter now!
