Happy days! We’re about to give you the low-down of beauty cheats you should have up your sleeves for flawless make-up in just a few minutes.

Foundation

You don’t need to do the most here: If you want sheer coverage, apply your foundation with the tips of your fingers – this secures a thinly spread foundation while still covering your whole face. If your want a bit more coverage than that, simply go for the fibre brush for the win. Make-up done and done.

Concealer

We know how much of a struggle getting your eyeshadow to last can be. Don’t you worry about that anymore. Just ditch using concealer on your eyelids as a base. Concealer was actually created to have a fairly thick consistency, which can cause the eyeshadow to crease. But feel free to use this baby (we rate it!) under your eyes…

Powder

Got dry skin? Powder shouldn’t be your ‘go-to’ for base and cover-up. It’ll only make you look ashy and flaky. Rather apply powder to the areas of your face where you usually suffer with oiliness, like the T-Zone and the bridge of your nose.

Blush

So many of us get this wrong. You shouldn’t apply blush to the apples of your cheeks; rather, sweep the brush from your cheeks to the top of your ear in a tick shape. Result: A youthful facelift effect. Thank me later.

Lipstick

If you want to make your lipstick last longer, start off with a lip pencil, lining the edges of your lips, then colour in your entire pout. Apply your lipstick, starting from the Cupid’s bow and moving downwards. Dab with translucent powder and apply another layer of lipstick. It won’t smudge and it’ll stay put throughout the day too.

Eyebrows

Black is a bit extra. Rather keep it low-key by opting for a brown pencil. If you want a more defined line, go for a waxy pencil; for a subtler brow, use eyebrow powder (or even brown eyeshadow) and an angled brush to create lifelike hairs. Begin by lining the bottom of your brow, then take your pencil to the top. This will create an even line and clean finish.
