This one got us signing up for yoga class…
Like aliens and magic tricks, some orgasms have to be seen (or felt) to be believed. But experts assure us these strange peaks of pleasure are more science than fiction.
1/ Exercise-Induced Orgasms
In a study at Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion, some women reported having an orgasm during a workout. (Yes you can get off while you get in shape.) Though there’s no magic technique, your best options are core exercises and yoga. Repetitions are key.
Coregasm Move
Hang from a pull-up bar with your hands shoulder-width apart and your hips centred under your body so that your hands and hips are aligned (1). Keeping your legs and back straight, use a slow, controlled motion to raise your legs until they’re parallel to the floor (2). Slowly lower your legs. Do 12 to 15 reps. Yogasm Move
Lie on your tummy and place the palms of your hands on the mat, just outside your chest (1). As you inhale, use your arms to lift your chest, leaving your pubic bone on the floor (2). Keep your legs strong and engage your butt muscles. Hold the pose for seven to 10 breaths. Do three reps. Source: Kay Kay Clivio, Pure Yoga lead teacher/trainer
2/ Nocturnal Orgasms
Giving new meaning to “good night”: During REM sleep, the cycle when most dreams occur, blood flow to the vagina can increase, causing the area to engorge as it would during orgasm.
3/ Nipplegasms
“When the nipples are stimulated, oxytocin is released, which causes the same uterine and vaginal contractions associated with orgasm,” says gynae Christiane Northrup, author of Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom. “This brings more blood flow to the genitals and can trigger an orgasm.”

4/ Mind Orgasms
Thinking herself off is but one of Lady Gaga’s many eccentric skills (“I can mentally give myself an orgasm,” she told New York magazine). “It’s a combination of breathing, fantasy and giving yourself permission to focus on yourself,” says certified sex therapist Gina Ogden, author of Women Who Love Sex.
5/ Labour Orgasms
Turns out, pushing your baby out can stimulate the same areas that were fired up when you created that little bundle of joy. (We’re still skeptics…)
Try this trick if you want to have an orgasm tonight! Plus: 5 times when masturbation will literally solve everything.
