TV presenter-turned-content entrepreneur Jeannie D, also Women’s Health January/February 2025 cover star, is stepping into twenty-twenty-thrive with intention, energy and a vision board packed to the brim with fitness, wellness and longevity goals. And trust us – you’ll want to take detailed notes!

From the workouts that keep her strong to the mindset shifts that keep her motivated, Jeannie shares her game plan for a feel-good, powerhouse year ahead. Because staying fit and fuelled is all part of the plan, Jeannie’s also letting us in on her go-to meal!

“Ten years ago, I was all about cardio and chasing the burn, pushing myself to the brink of exhaustion. Today, I believe in working with, instead of against, my body.”

Jeannie’s Top Five Fitness Goals For 2025

1. Focus on what feels good

“Whether that’s a deep stretch or a brisk walk with my dogs, I have come to believe that fitness should be less about achieving perfection and more about enabling a vibrant, joyful life.”

2. Work towards longevity

“Pilates and yoga are my secret weapons for longevity. Practising them both has given me a physical foundation that’s more than just tone.”

3. Stand up straight:

“Thanks to all that Pilates and yoga core work, I’ve got good posture. While my body might not bounce back quite as quickly as it did in my twenties, I’m still standing tall (literally!).”

4. Keep cardio fun

“I’m obsessed with padel because who doesn’t love a workout disguised as a social event? It’s exercise, comedy and therapy all rolled into one.”

5. Be kind to the mind

“I enjoy yin yoga on some days. This practice encourages slower, deeper poses to release tension from the body and offers the mind rest. This is what keeps me sane during stressful times. Try it!”

How To Make Jeannie’s Easy Protein Salad Wrap

“I often whip this up for lunch using either canned tuna or grilled chicken. It’s high on protein, low on carbs and big on flavour, but best of all, it takes no time at all to make, and tastes delicious.”

  1. Warm up a low-carb tortilla for a minute or so, then smear on smooth low-fat cottage or cream cheese.
  2. Load the wrap up with a handful of sprouts and microgreens to add a delicious, fresh crunch to every mouthful.
  3. In a bowl mix your choice of protein with whatever vegetables you have in your fridge: carrot, pickled onions, cucumber, jalapenos, spinach or kale – it all tastes good!
  4. Add a squeeze of mustard, a teensy bit of mayo and an optional dollop of sauerkraut.
  5. Then add your protein and veggie mix onto the salad tortilla and enjoy.
