5 Quick And Easy Air Fryer Recipes
Pink Peppercorn-Crusted Tuna with Artichoke and Pine Nut Caponata
Equipment
- 1 Serving Dish
- 1 Tongs
Ingredients
For the prawns
- 12 to 16 Prawns, deveined
- 1 tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- Olive oil for frying
- Salt to taste
For the dressing
- 5 g Chives, finely sliced
- 3 Tbsp White wine vinegar
- 1 Lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 tsp Honey
- 125 ml Extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp Sea salt flakes
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
For the salad
- 2 bulbs Fennel, thinly sliced
- 100 g Watercress
- 100 g Wild rocket
- 3 Naartjies, peeled and sliced
- 1 Avocado, cubed
- 20 g Almonds, toasted and roughly chopped
Instructions
- Season the prawns with the spices, garlic and salt. Place a pan over a high heat and drizzle with olive oil. Sear the prawns on both sides until pink. Add the butter and toss to coat. Set aside.
- Make the dressing by whisking the ingredients together. Marinate the fennel in the dressing for 15 minutes.
- To make the salad, arrange the watercress and rocket on a large serving platter, top with the fennel, naartjies, avocado and dressing, and sprinkle with the chopped almonds.
- Serve with the prawns.

Courgette And Feta Frittata
Equipment
- 1 air-fryer
Ingredients
- 6 Eggs
- 2 Zucchinis
- 80g Feta crumbled
- 3 tbsp Milk
- 12 Sprigs flat-leaf parsley, chopped chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
- Chop the courgettes into cubes (cutting some into five or six thin slices for the top of the frittata). Brown the cubed courgette with the onion in the air fryer for 5 minutes.
- Mix the eggs, feta, milk and half the parsley in a bowl.
- Add the mixture to a flan dish or shallow cake tin with the vegetables. Cook in the air fryer for a further 15 minutes.
- Garnish the frittata with the remaining parsley before serving.
Indian-Style Meatballs

Ingredients
- 300g Shoulder of lamb
- 2 tsp Tandoori spice mix
- 1 Egg
- 200g Tomato sauce or passata
- 1 Red onion
- 1 Bunch coriander
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
- Blitz the lamb, red onion and half the coriander in a food processor.
- Beat the egg in a large bowl and add the lamb mixture and tandoori spice. Mix well.
- Roll the mixture into meatballs, 4 cm in diameter, and cook in the air fryer for 4 minutes. Turn the meatballs over, pour over the tomato sauce and cook for a further 4 minutes. Serve garnished with the remaining coriander.
Petit Pois And Basil Risotto

- 1 air-fryer
Ingredients
- 300g Risotto rice
- 1 litre Vegetable stock
- 50g Grated Parmesan
- 1 glass Dry white wine
- 150g Petit pois 1 cup
- 1 small Bunch basil torn
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 190°C.
- Put the rice in a cooking dish or silicone insert in the air fryer, pour over the white wine and then add the stock. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add the peas and half the basil 5 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
- To serve, stir, add the Parmesan and sprinkle with the remaining basil.

Chilli Con Carne

- 1 air-fryer
Ingredients
- 500g Minced beef
- 400g Tinned red kidney beans
- 400g Tomato sauce or passata
- 1 Red bell pepper
- 1 Red onion, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C. Remove the stalk and core from the pepper and cut the flesh into cubes. Brown the pepper and onion in a cooking dish or silicone insert in the air fryer for 5 minutes.
- Add the minced beef and cook for a further 5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the red kidney beans, add to the chilli con carne and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
- Serve the chilli con carne with rice, if you wish.
